Would be good to enable the forum so that folks can monitor it via something like an RSS or other XML feed.

I second the RSS request. An RSS feed would be pretty good.

I am at the point where I need RSS feeds or I may have to switch to another set of forums. Everything is working great but RSS is a big help in generating traffic.
