I sense that perhaps this is a dead project.
So - you better know what your doing if you plan to use this script.
First of all the dbCon.asp file that you are supposed to edit is in the includes folder.
There is another located in ForumAdmin - that is not the one to edit...
Secondly - you better know a bit about SQL - if you don't then this script is not for you.
You will have to create your SQL DB - first, change the dbCon.asp, upload the script, you will notice that you can't login as admin...
Now you have to go to your SQL admin panel, you will need to open the table members, find the user "admin" and edit the password manually...
Once you have done all this - you will start to see that there are a bunch of features that actually don't work yet...
I am advanced on ASP, .NET and SQL - I have seen a lot of scripts and this one is really good BUT you better know what your doing, this script has a great foundation and lots of potential, it just needs to be finished / completed - which if you know what your doing you will be able to do this.
This is not a plug it in and go type application like the description leads you to believe.
I have seen MANY posts requesting support and VERY FEW were actually answered, so don't count on much new help from the boards - try searching for the answer because a lot of stuff has been covered.
IMPORTANT - there is a file attached that a gracious user offered up a while back - REPLACE YOUR SETUP/FORUM.SQL WITH THIS ONE OR YOU WILL HAVE NOTHING BUT ERRORS. It is called forum.sql.txt - just rename it to forum.sql (they file extension of .sql was not allowed to be uploaded so I had to rename it a .txt file). The forum.sql that comes with the download is not done right, someone fixed it for them. And no this is not some stupid hack trick - please feel free to compare the original with this one and you will see there is no malicious code...
Anyway - if you pick this script for your forums - best of luck.

Looks like John hasn't logged in for 8 months or so, so you could be right. Hope he's ok.
